This work is a translation of a number of works on Brune’s little known campaign against the Swedish army in eastern Germany in 1807. The bulk of this volume is a translation of the 1825 work by Chevalier Vigier de Saint-Junien. De Saint-Junien was a participant in the campaign and writes from an eye-witness perspective. In addition, translations of the relevant pages from several other works discussing the actions of the KGL, Dutch, Spanish and various smaller German states are provided to further clarify the details of the campaign. It is supported by orders of battle drawn from the French archives as well as other sources. This is the only work I know of on Brune’s 1807 campaign in English.
